Success and happiness
Happiness is perceived to be the key to success; several research studies confirm that cheerful people are likely to challenge themselves; these people develop positive emotions needed to succeed. The idea of happiness and success seems to be related, however, the two concepts are different. Happiness represents how we feel. One does not need to be successful to be happy because he can still be happy without success. Success is more of a judgment in that when we say a person is successful, we evaluate the person if he measures up to a certain standard.
Happiness comes from personal accomplishment, it is not a feel-good luxury, but it is essential for our well-being. Happiness is something that can extend to an entire population. A happy nation is a place where citizens practice democratic attitude and are keen on helping others. Happiness is not about setting goals and achieving them; happiness is developing a state of mind that makes us be contented and appreciate things that make us achieve our purpose in life. We can create happiness in all circumstances; we have read stories of people who undergo hardship, but still find joy, similarly, we know of people who seem to have successful careers, families but are not happy.
The truth is that success does not result in happiness, but happiness can lead you to success. Think about people who are successful these are people with positive attitude and are contented and passionate about their personal goals. One of the common assumptions people make is to assume that success will give you the happiness you need. When your achievement is associated with your core values, in life, this defines your purpose, therefore when you embrace each moment, and then happiness will direct you to success. The secret of happiness is to find joy in the simple things in life that gives us satisfaction. Happiness helps us cultivate behavior that reinforces the positive attitude that result in success. If I feel grateful about my health or my family, it makes a difference in my life because I feel contented such feelings can help me pursue success.
It is clear that both happiness and success go hand in hand, but it does not necessarily mean that the two concepts are connected. You might not like something you do, but you can still be happy and feel contended by the fact that you have a great family to look forward to every evening; this is what true happiness is all about. On the other hand, one might be having a successful career that gives him a lot of income and respect among his peers, but the same person might not be having anything to look forward to outside work, this does not mean that you not successful. Happiness is not a luxury it is the essence of living when joy is missing in our lives life becomes meaningless.
Having everything we need does not guarantee us true happiness. Achieving happiness requires an optimistic outlook on life. Happiness is the key contributor of positive attitude that in turn motivate people to undertake new challenges and achieve success. People with positive attitudes are active and passionate about achieving their life goal. Enthusiastic people feel energetic, have confidence and are optimistic about life. Joyful people are open-minded individual who appreciate the little achievement in life. Even though many people assume that happiness is important than success, while other felt hay one cannot be happy unless he is successful, I do believe that happiness play an important role in our life and I believe that it is the key to success.
