Introduction

Etiquette is always considered by every institution, individual, and a group in our community. This is referred to as a process of implementing a code of behavior or a conduct that delineates a certain social behavior that is accustomed to the conventional norms of the society. Etiquette is important because it values the good moral character of an individual, group, or organization towards other interest groups or parties. It possesses a value of a culture that promotes discipline with other members of the community with respect towards maintaining a goal or a norm to ensure that the behavioral instinct or practice has always been managed by a certain individual. Etiquette is a part of laws implemented by institutions and regulating agencies to the community.

Why should etiquette be taught in school? This is to build understanding to have a much better appreciation with regard to discipline towards other individuals. Every individual at school needs to know the importance of instilling discipline as part of their behavioral management program at schools. At an early age, being familiar with the code of conduct will bring significant benefits to the character of the students because they will be able to identify appropriate and inappropriate behaviors. Learning more about the importance of using characters and behaviors that are legally and ethically appropriate towards under individuals or group ensures that they learn to appreciate the values of the law. As they grow up, they will learn that ethical and legal violations have corresponding consequences by the authorities. This is due to several decisions that were committed to introducing harm and violence towards other individuals to satisfy self-greed or to express frustrations (Toksvig, 2013).

Etiquette is primarily taught by instructors or teachers to their pupils because it is where their behavior starts to become functional and productive. At school, it is always important to allow students to identify proper and improper behaviors that stimulate their cognitive skills. Learning is indeed a continuous process, especially when students will start to learn more about the importance of doing well to other individuals. For this reason, it can stimulate a positive motion to ensure that harm will not be a possibility for other individuals. As a student, one must learn practices that protect the welfare of other individuals to become future role models by acting as a role model to others. This is because both students and the staff of the school need to undergo self-awareness process because it is one of the most effective ways to appreciate justice and equality through etiquette. After reminiscing their behavioral conduct, students will realize the consequences of being either the predator or the prey.

As a learning insight, etiquette prevents students from committing inappropriate behaviors at school. This is because it is always critical to instill the awareness of students regarding the principles of doing a proper etiquette to improve their character. Attitude development is one of the most important issues that schools should apply to all their students. The purpose is to understand illegal and unethical behaviors that are corresponded by legal apprehensions by either the school or the local government units in the community. Proper etiquette is accompanied by counseling programs of the school so that both teachers and students will learn the principles of justice, veracity, and equality within the school premises on a daily basis.
